Veronica Swift’s self-titled third album marks a bold artistic evolution. Following the acclaim of Confessions (2019) and This Bitter Earth (2021), Swift expands beyond jazz into a “transgenre” sound, blending opera, classical, bossa nova, blues, rock, and funk—while maintaining her distinctive voice. Raised in jazz by parents Stephanie Nakasian and Hod O’Brien, she honors the tradition while embracing a broader creative identity. A 2015 Thelonious Monk Competition finalist, Swift has refined this new direction on tour, where audiences have enthusiastically embraced her genre-defying approach and fearless artistic expression.
