One of North Texas’s largest and most diverse developments is also one of its best, whether you’re after a haircut, a movie night, or a ride on one (of two) Ferris wheels.

In the northern suburbs of Dallas, a 400-plus-acre development has become a playground for experiential entertainment companies. You can see a movie, get a haircut, play a round of putt-putt, or watch a ballgame in plenty of places in Dallas-Fort Worth. At Grandscape, you can do all this and more, and you can do it on the grandest scale imaginable. No pun intended.

It can be daunting to consider your first trek out to Grandscape, anchored by Nebraska Furniture Mart, the biggest of big box stores. It’s a sprawling compound of retail and entertainment providers; sort of a mall, but really akin to a theme park.

Grandscape got its start in 2015 when Nebraska Furniture Mart showed denizens of North Texas just how luxurious a Wal-Mart/IKEA hybrid could be, then continued to expand as new tenants took root. Some of those tenants have come and gone in the years since Grandscape proper had its grand opening in April 2021, while others have become destination anchors within the development’s broader tapestry.
