Prasanna, widely known as Guitar Prasanna, is a globally acclaimed pioneer of performing Carnatic classical music on electric guitar. Trained in the traditional Guru-Shishya system, he has earned major honors, including a Lifetime Achievement Award and IIT Madras’ Distinguished Alumnus Award.

The University of North Texas Jazz Singers is the premier vocal jazz ensemble within the Division of Jazz Studies at the College of Music. Under the direction of Jennifer Barnes, the group features fourteen vocalists and a five-piece rhythm section performing a challenging and diverse repertoire, including works by current students, alumni, and faculty.

Celebrate Memorial Day at Windmills with this special five‑piece ensemble from The U.S. Army Blues!—They're part of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own”—spotlights the group’s most versatile jazz artists. The lineup features SSG Melinda Rodriguez on vocals; SSG Clay Pritchard, saxophonist, UNT alum and former Colony resident; SFC Eric Pers, drums, UNT alum; MSG Regan Brough, bass, Denton native; and SFC James Collins, piano.
